Overview

The Stealth Viper is a cobra-type Zoid. Despite the implications of its name, cobras are not vipers, but members of the elapidae family of venomous snakes, which also includes mambas, coral snakes and taipans. Elapids have short, fixed fangs and that deliver neurotoxic venom, which causes paralysis; Vipers have long, hinged fangs that inject cytotoxic venom, which causes necrosis.

This versatile Zoid excels at ambush attacks, sneaking up on prey in rough terrain, from the water, or by burrowing underground. It packs a medium range of firepower in the form of machineguns on its nose, hood and tail, with anti-aircraft guns and missile launchers for additional firepower; its long, flexible body also makes it very agile and gives an excellent line of fire. It can be equipped with the CP-05 Large Bore Beam Cannon to increase its range and firepower, at the cost of its mobility.
