Sarah is the final antagonist of the Zoids: New Century anime series.

Overview

Sarah is the manager of Vega Obscura and the leader of the Vega team. Prior to the Royal Cup tournament she was promoted by The Count, becoming the highest-ranking executive of the Backdraft Organization, second only to the Committee of Seven. She is a rival of Altile, who had been jockeying for that position himself.

Though she is not a Zoid pilot, she was still able to prove herself one of the most competent and effective antagonists in the franchise. She is a confident and shrewd negotiator, clawing her way up the ranks of the Backdraft by gaining favour with the committee. She is firm but reasonable towards her underlings, as seen when she dealt with Doctor Laon during the preparations for the Charged Particle Cannon. She is also a brilliant tactician who utilizes her resources intelligently, formulating a cogent strategy that nearly brought the Zoid Battle Commission to its knees (failing only due to factors she could not have anticipated.)

Sarah had an ambiguous relationship with Vega. She appears to hold some kind of guardianship over him. They refer to each other on a first name basis, but otherwise behave like a mother and son; it has never been confirmed if she adopted him or if they're related by blood. Altile refers to her as a "wicked woman who manipulates Vega", but her affection for the child is sincere. After the Berserk Fury is defeated, her only concern is for Vega's safety.
