Overview
Identified as an "Iguana" type Zoid, it bears little resemblance to one, lacking the Iguana's characterisic dewlap and row of dermal spines. With its smooth back, large head, short neck, long tail, and burrowing and swimming habits, it more closely resembles a Tegu - large, predatory, South American lizards of the teiidae family, which are sold as pets and hunted for food and leather.
The Heldigunner is a multi-terrain Zoid and one of the most versatile Zoids around, capable of amphibious assaults, as well as launching surprise attacks from underground. It carries a large beam cannnon on its back, as well as a quartet of smaller cannons below its jaw and an anti-aircraft gun on the base of its tail. It is also capable in close-range combat, battering enemy Zoids with its long tail and shredding them with its claws and teeth.
