The Gairyuki is a Zoid which appears in the Battle Story.

Overview

The Gairyuki was created through the combined efforts of Zoitech and engineers from the Guylos Empire who defected to the Republic after it was conquered by the Neo-Zenevas Empire. It was reverse engineered from the same type of Wild Purebred T-Rex as the Berserk Fury. Its name, written in the script used by the people of the Eastern Continent, means "Shining Victory Dragon".

Although it lacks raw speed and firepower compared to the Fury, the Gairyuki's Blox CAS, consisting of support Zoids Gekkou and Hien, grants the Gairyuki more versatility, protection, maneuverability, and a higher core output. The condenser panels along its body combine an E-Shield with the same Ancient Titanium alloy used for the Gojulas Giga's armour, and are able to disperse and absorb charged particle beams, using them to power its own charged particle cannon (though a sufficiently powerful blast at close range can damage the panels enough to the point where it can't return fire.) Despite this, it was sufficient to defeat its predecessor in combat, after which it entered mass production, playing an important role in the later stages of the Helic/Neo-Zenevas war as a counter to the Seismosaurus. Its firepower and close combat abilities can be further enhanced by fusing with Dispellow and Evo Flier, respectively.
