Organoid System

Overview
The raw power of a Zoid is determined by the quality and output of its Zoid Core. Simply improving a Zoid's chassis or giving it more weapons will not make it more powerful; indeed, doing so can put excessive strain on the core. Therefore, improving the core itself is the key to producing superior Zoids. The Organoid System, which was discovered in an ancient ruin by the Guylos Empire, is an AI program that causes abnormal activity within a Zoid Core, increasing its output. Exactly how the Organoid System works is not understood, but when set at higher levels, the Zoid's raw power can increase exponentially; Gojulas the Ogre, for example, is ten times more powerful than an ordinary Gojulas. Even small Zoids such as the Rev Raptor and Gun Sniper can be made far more powerful than their size would suggest due to the presence of the Organoid System. However, this comes at the cost of making the Zoid extremely violent and difficult to pilot, requiring careful management of the Organoid System's influence - most Zoids equipped with the Organoid System have it on a low setting to prevent them from becoming uncontrollable.
These potentially dangerous design flaws, along with the inherent difficulties in mass producing the Organoid System, led to research for alternative solutions. Eventually the technology was rendered obsolete by the development of purebred wild-type Zoid Cores, which are of an exceptionally high quality. Zoids with purebred wild cores are superior to OS-eqipped Zoids; during its first encounter with the Republic at Nixie Base, the incomplete prototype Berserk Fury was able to kill three Gun Snipers and a Shield Liger DCS-J with terrifying ease.
