Zoid Cores are an anatomical feature common to all Zoids.

Overview
Biomechanical in nature, a Zoid Cores are portrayed across the various continuities as the source of a Zoid's power. It is the Zoid's true form, with its body amounting to little more than a fancy mobile shell designed to house it. While a Zoid's chassis is effectively expendable and can simply be repaired, damage to the Zoid Core is irreversable and will cause the Zoid to permanantly cease functioning.
