Death Stinger (Chaotic Century Anime)

The Death Stinger is a Eurypterid-type Zoid. Piloted by Hiltz, it served as the primary antagonist during the latter quarter of the Zoids: Chaotic Century anime.

Overview

Formed by Ambient's union of the Zoid Cores of two powerful, legendary scorpion type Zoids who fought and defeated the Death Saurer in the ancient past, the Death Stinger weilded enormous firepower, capable of destroying an entire city with a single shot from its charged particle cannon; it was also equipped with a huge arsenal of support weapons, uncluding a quartet of beam cannons flanking its charged particle cannon, two pairs of machineguns on its face, enormous shock cannons on its back and hidden torpedo launchers in its claws. Its massive size made it a force to reckon with in close combat, and with a pair of pincers at both ends of its body it could counter an attack at any angle. It was able to navigate just about any terrain, capable of strolling over land, burrowing underground and swimming underwater. On top of all this, the Death Stinger had an extremely powerful omni-directional E-shield, which allowed to to survive the Hammer Kaiser's fall from orbit and being submerged in molten lava. However, its shield could be short circuited through sustained contact against another shield, and without it, the Death Stinger was vulnerable to conventional weaponry despite its tough armour.
