The Berserk Fury is a Zoid which appears in the Battle Story.

Overview

The personal Zoid of Wolff Muroa, the Berserk Fury is the ultimate result of weapons technology (courtesy of the Geno Buster) combined with the chassis of the Proto Rex. Infused with the vitality of a Purebred Wild T-Rex, it has extremely keen fighting instincts and forms a bond with its pilot that grants it extraordinary raw power and response time, resulting in a Zoid which surpasses its predecessor, the Geno Breaker. Its unique armaments, the Buster Claws, combine an E-Shield with a magnetic plasma cannon and a magnesser drill, making highly versatile in regards to defence, ranged firepower and close combat ability. Developed by the Guylos Empire in tandem with the Liger Zero, both were designed to make use of the Changing Armour System to further expand their options in combat, though only one optional set of battle armour, the Sturm Fury, was developed before the Neo-Zenevas Empire decommissioned the design.

History

Battle Story

The Berserk Fury made its first appearence in October of the year ZAC 2100, where it was encountered by Ray Gregg in a secret underground factory at Nixie Base along with the prototype Liger Zero and a small Zoid. The prototype Berserk Fury was incomplete, but this didn't stop it from crushing the Leo-Master's Shield Liger DCS-J and the trio of Gun Snipers escorting him. In awe of its strength, Ray doubted even the Blade Liger could stand a chance against it. During the carnage, Ray was able to escape and take control of the prototype Liger Zero and fight Wolff to a standstill. Wolff initiated a tactical retreat, and with the assistance of the Elephander unit, was able to escape with the small Zoid.
