Wild T. rex type Zoids are generally agreed to be the apex predators of [[Planet Zi]]. Though many Tyrannosaur Zoids exist, most were based on the [[Wild Hybrid T-Rex]]; Purebreds, distinguished by their horizontal posture, are notoriously difficult to capture and modify, due to their savage dispositions. The [[Proto Rex]] is the first Zoid to be based on a Purebred Tyrannosaurus, which was in turn used to create the [[Berserk Fury (Battle Story)|Berserk Fury]].
