#Please make your best effort to ensure stuff you add is correct. Wherever possible, work from canon sources (or, in the case of fandom articles, from the actual boards/discussions/etc in question). Don't add theories and speculation unless it's in the context of describing fandom trends/theories (preferably on a fandom-related page).

#No stolen images. Either you took the photo yourself, or it's an official image (screenshot, official art, etc). Please credit/mention the source in your image description when using official images. Using photos from other sites is okay ''if and only if'' they are confirmed to be usable here; do ''not'' use things off Wikipedia/Wikia!Zoids Wiki without tracking down the original source, as there's a lot of improperly licensed Zoids stuff on both.

#Don't lift content or formatting from Wikipedia or Wikia!Zoids Wiki articles. For one, we're trying to work from scratch. For two, this wiki has a lot of formatting differences...or it will as we work them out—expect articles to be a bit inconsistent until then, and just do your best!

Exception: You may gank and reformat-to-fit chunks of wiki articles on either of those sites (or your ''own'' site) if you wrote them yourself, so long as they otherwise fit in.

#[http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Don%27t_be_a_dick Don't be a dick]. This is subjective to some degree, but the two big guidelines in that respect are:
##Don't get racism/sexism/homophobia/any other ism anywhere (articles, talk pages, captions, your user page). No, not even as a "joke" or to be "ironic".
##Don't treat other users badly, on the talk pages or otherwise. It's okay to point out incorrect facts or debate things, but there's nice ways of saying things and there's asshole ways of saying things. The admins will notice, even if you don't use direct personal attacks.

If someone else is harassing you or something is making you uncomfortable, please let one of the admins know. Under most circumstances, [[User:Tilly|Tilly]] ([mailto:storchofdoom@yahoo.com storchofdoom@yahoo.com]) will get to it the fastest, as they have no life.

#We use humor here. Articles do not have to be in a Proper Encyclopedic Tone, though they should be reasonably formal and as unbiased as possible. Minor joking asides are okay, so long as they are obviously a joke (and on-topic). Captions are allowed to be flat out silly, unless the image is important to understanding the article; please include useful information then for the sake of people who are on slow connections or using screenreaders.

As humor is subjective, there are no strict rules on what counts as humor other than ''not'' using it as an excuse to [[Bashing|bash things]]. A joke should be something someone who is reading the article because they ''like'' its subject would find funny, not you showing off how much you hate (insert thing here).

#We also have articles about fandom-related topics. There is no strict notability standard for fandom articles, though you should be able to show whatever you're writing an article on actually has gone on in fandom if need be. This is not a place to plug your site or write essays about how you personally feel about Zoids topic X, in other words. (Feel free, however, to put what you want on your userpage, so long as it's not in violation of rule four above ;p.)
