Overview
The Liger Zero Schneider is a high performance unit specialised for close range combat. It is equipped with numerous high output thrusters and an extremely powerful E-Shield, all of which allow it to close the distance to cut down opponents with its seven Laser Blades: five on its face, for high speed ramming attacks, and another pair on its side for drive-by slashing attacks akin to the Blade Liger. It trades its ranged weaponry for increased protection, speed and melee capability; though it is equipped with the shock cannon of the basic unit, the cannon's actual use is heavily impeded by the shield generating array that intercepts its line of fire.

Toy release info
Each CP set included six sprues of colored parts, an instruction sheet and a sheet of stickers, and featured numerous points of articulation: each of the five blades on the head could be moved forward and back, the blades on the back lowered and extended, the two small blades on the tail could move back and forth, the covers on the shoulder boosters could be opened, and the shield generators on the face could extend and retract.
CP-017 Schneider Unit<br>
The Schneider Unit was sold as part of the New Japanese Release and molded in orange, blue, flat grey and red. It was repackaged and sold with the New American Release's Liger Zero Schneider kit.

Liger Zero Schneider(Hasbro, US/Canada, 2003)
This Toys 'R' Us exclusive kit included the Schneider set packaged with a stock Liger Zero kit. While the CP was identical to the Japanese release, the base armor included with the kit was molded in a darker bone color than that of the Zero kit issued the previous year, and had a slightly pearly sheen.
