The '''Liger Zero Jäger''' is one of three specialised sets of custom battle armour designed by [[Steve Toros (New Century Anime)|Steve Toros]] for the Blitz Team's [[Liger Zero (New Century Anime)|Liger Zero]].

==Overview==

The Jäger is a high performance unit specialised for speed and mobility. It has a sleek, aerodynamic design and is equipped with a pair of enormous ion boosters on its shoulders that are attached to flexible mounts, which grant it incredible speed and manouvrability; enabling it to move fast enough to create sonic booms that can blow away an opponent in its wake, and even change vector in mid-air. It's also light on its feet, capable of jumping on a missile in mid-flight without detonating it. It is shown to have holographic technology similar to the Lightning Saix, allowing it to leave behind a temporary after-image and give the impression of being able to teleport over short distances. Though it still equips the shock cannon, its is impeded by the facial armour that intercepts its line of fire. Instead, it uses a pair of face mounted machine guns as its primary ranged weapons.

Compared to the basic unit, the Jäger trades off power for speed. This is demonstrated when it was physically overpowered by Harry's Iron Kong, and again when its Strike Laser Claw was only able to inflict superficial damage to the Berserk Fury. The Jäger was Bit's least favourite of the three CAS units; he noted that high speed combat was hard on his body, and he also found it aesthetically unappealing. Despite this, it was the first CAS unit he used, and also the one he used most often, after the basic Zero.
