The <s>Geno Saurus</s> '''Geno Saurer''' is a Zoid featured in the [[Zoids: New Century (Anime)|New Century]] anime series.

==Overview==

The Geno Saurers which appear in New Century are identical in appearence to the original [[Geno Saurer (Chaotic Century anime)|Geno Saurer]] piloted by Raven in Chaotic Century, with black armour and purple detailing, and posessed the same destructive capability. Three firing their charged particle beams at once were capable of blasting a gigantic crater out of the ground with the resulting explosion, but were unable to even scorch the Berserk Fury's armour, let alone penetrate its shield. It is stated to be a rare Zoid, possibly having even become mythical or legendary in status in the intervening time between Chaotic Century and New Century, as Fuma stated that she's only heard rumours and never actually seen a Geno Saurer before.

==History==

In his hunt for the [[Berserk Fury (New Century Anime)|Ultimate X]], Altile had an amazing stroke of good fortune, not only finding what he was looking for but also a trio of Geno Saurers in the same locale. During the Backdraft's attempted takeover of the Royal Cup, Sarah was placed in charge while Altile was ignonimously cast aside. He hatched a scheme to assasinate Vega and the Berserk Fury, eliminating Sarah's only worthwhile asset to the orginization; confident that not even the Ultimate X could withstand the combined firepower of three Geno Saurers, he handed the Zoids to his loyal minions, the Fuma team, and sent them to dispatch the child prodigy.

After taking out [[Jamie Hemeros (New Century Anime|The Wild Eagle]], a showdown between Vega and Leena appeared iminent. However, the battle was interrupted when the Fuma team suddenly appeared, shot down the Judge capsule, and surrounded the Fury. Leena ran for her life as the Fuma team began charging their particle cannons. As the Fuma team opened fire, the beams struck the Fury from all sides, the combined assault igniting an enormous explosion that carved a crater hundreds of feet deep into the ground, which Vega survived unharmed, thanks to his last-second deployment of the Fury's E-Shield.

Atonished that the Fury could have withstood such a blast so easily, Fuma and her teammates regrouped to face the Ultimate X head-on; an action which sealed their fates, as Vega returned fire with a charged particle beam of his own, blowing away all three Geno Saurers with a single shot. Fuma expressed amazement at the Berserk Fury's raw power as it unleashed a triumphant roar.
