The '''Berserk Fury''' (referred to as the '''Berserk Führer''' in the original Japanese release) is a Tyrannosaurus-type Zoid.

==Overview==

Though many Zoids during the 80s were identified as tyrannnosaurs, all stood in the outdated "tripod" posture and more clearly inspired by Japanese giant monsters such as Godzilla than any real dinosaur. The Berserk Fury stands in a horizontal posture, reflecting the changes in public perception about dinosaurs during the 1990s thanks to the popularity of the first two ''Jurassic Park'' movies. None-the-less, it only vaguely resembles a T. rex; its design is highly embellished, with its sleek lines, finlike boosters and pointed, squared-off nose giving it a shark-like appearence.

The Berserk Fury is the arch-rival of the Liger Zero. Armed with a Charged Particle Cannon as its primary weapon, it also possesses a pair of unique armaments on its back, called Buster Claws, as highly versatile support weapons. These buster claws grant it the ability to fire three charged particle beams all at once, making it even more powerful than its forbearers, the Geno Saurer and the Geno Breaker. Often affectionately (or derisively) referred to as "eggbeaters", each buster claw contains a 185mm beam cannon surrounded by a trio of massive blades, which can be charged with magnesser energy and spin like a pair of massive drills which can shred through heavy armour. These claws can also raise an omni-directional [[E-Shield]] to protect the Zoid from an attack at any angle. It is extremely fast and agile, thanks to a pair of high-manoeuvre thrusters on its back and ten smaller vernier thrusters on its legs and tail.

As if all this weren't enough, the Zoid also has a Changing Armour System, just like the Liger Zero; though only the Sturm CAS is available in model kit form, a number of others have appeared in the various games and manga.
